Cymru. Football. Creativity.

The Football Association of Wales and Arts Council of Wales have teamed up to celebrate all that is great about Welsh football and culture.

We want to put football and creativity at the heart of our communities and for sport and the arts to showcase what’s best about Wales, whether it’s on the international pitch, or at grassroots level.

During the 2022 FIFA World Cup, over 300 Gŵyl Cymru Festival events took place all across Wales and the world. Events took place in all 22 local authorities, in over 200 venues with over 500 artists. 40 international events were held in Montreal, New York, Dubai and Munich, to name a few.

The FAW and Arts Council of Wales will now take Gŵyl Cymru Festival on tour to some of our nation’s biggest festivals. There will be something for all lovers of the arts and football popping up at events including FOCUS Wales, Green Man, Pride Cymru and Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Cymru.

Whoever you are and however you identify, let’s celebrate the creativity and diversity of our Wal Goch – and amplify our arts and culture to the world.

Together Stronger.
